Scope

Yonca Backup is a private owner-fleet backup component. These terms do not offer or describe a public Yonca SaaS, hosted backup service, or the wider Yonca agent.

Owner-controlled operation

The owner chooses backup sources, storage devices, and any Google Drive folder used by the component. Google OAuth is completed in the owner’s browser. The owner decides whether to enable the direct Drive adapter and maintains access to selected storage.

Google Drive permission

The current OAuth permission allows Yonca Backup to view and manage all files in the connected Google Drive. The implementation uses the owner-approved folder as its operational root. Historical archive verification requires access to archives that were not created by this OAuth app.

Backup behavior

The component creates encrypted AES-256 DMG archives and can verify copies using checksums. A checksum is an integrity check only. This service makes no promise of uninterrupted availability, a recovery outcome, zero access, end-to-end encryption, or a particular key-management model.

Automatic pruning is disabled. No retention duration is guaranteed until a retention policy is separately configured.
