PRIVATE OWNER-FLEET SERVICE

Backup records, held close.

A narrow Yonca component for preparing encrypted archives and checking owner-controlled copies.

Current backup service · not a public backup service

What this service covers

Yonca Backup creates encrypted AES-256 DMG archives on an owner-controlled device. It verifies copies made to owner-controlled storage.

This page describes the backup component only. It does not describe the wider Yonca agent, orchestration features, a hosted backend, or a completed public product.

Copies and verification

The current flow uses local external storage and a separate Monster PNY copy. When the owner enables the direct Google Drive adapter, it uses Google OAuth to read back and verify existing archives.

The current OAuth permission allows Yonca Backup to view and manage all files in the connected Google Drive. The implementation uses the owner-approved folder as its operational root. Historical archive verification requires access to archives not created by this OAuth app.

Google consent happens in the owner’s browser; backup credentials remain in private configuration on the owner device.

Current limits

The backup component does not send archive contents to a Yonca-hosted backend and does not use them for advertising or AI training. Automatic pruning is disabled, so no retention period is promised.

The owner may revoke the Google connection and separately delete stored archives. The Google OAuth audience remains in Testing; this site does not claim production OAuth approval.
